Operations Manager (Atlanta Area)

Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for the day to day operations and growth of the Distribution Center.  Reporting to this position will be customer service and warehouse staff.

Primary Responsibilities
o Ensure policies and procedures are followed within the DC.
o Meet goals and objectives set by the General Manager.
o Daily, weekly, and monthly Tribute reporting.
o Actively manage any personnel related issues, including disciplinary action, performance reviews, PTO tracking, training, and time management.
o Meet company requirements for managing inventory levels and turn ratios.
o Ensure company training and development of employees is adhered to.
o Provide daily direction and communication to employees so that customer service calls are answered in a timely, efficient and knowledgeable manner.
o Facilitate expectations made by management, promises made by sales team, and potential issues that may arise with operations and supply chain, as well as manage the needs of internal and external customers.
o Review all stocks transfer requests and approve/deny them.
o Ensure health and safety regulations are being met.
o Assess maintenance/facility issues and make recommendations to Corporate on the most cost effective way to make improvements.
o Any additional duties or projects as assigned by management.

Knowledge and Skill Requirement
o Minimum 5 years of experience in a management level position in a Distribution Center.
o Bachelors Degree in Business related field of study.
o Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekend hours, as needed.
o Experience with large, national and international distributors.
o Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
o Goal oriented team player with high energy and strong values.
